|Priscilla Redus Wofford|
A native Dallasite, Priscilla Wofford has also lived in Atchison and Wichita, Kansas, where she completed a BA in sociology and English at Wichita State University, specializing in the sociology of language and small group behavior.
During her time in Kansas, Ms. Wofford served as Program Director for a rural community action program, setting up 15 programs for area residents, six of which are still operating, two of those now profit-making ventures. She served on the Governor’s Board for Youth Employment and NE-MO-KAN water board, the administrative body responsible for water resources along the Kansas/Nebraska./Missouri shores of the Missouri River.
Semi-retired, Ms. Wofford owns PAR Management, providing small business and property management. The 24-year-old business was an offshoot of the proprietor’s early training, transitional career and retail experience after returning to Dallas, Texas in the late 1970’s.
In Ms. Wofford’s personal life, she is the proud mother of two accomplished adults, the grandmother to four, and great-gandmother to one. She enjoys her leisure time with her children and grandchildren.
Ms. Wofford’s major work has been with organizations wishing to obtain non-profit status. In this capacity, she was very successful in providing invaluable assistance to the initial set-up and organization of the Metroplex Opera Company, and in obtaining non-exempt tax status for company. She continues to support the goals of the Metroplex Opera Company with her business knowledge and experience.
